On today’s #HealthyEats episode of Doc M, he shared how he made a baked salmon recipe extra special and more nutritious.
Salmon fish is known to be potent for healthy bones and teeth. It also helps in protecting your immune system and, together with omega 3, it’s a real help to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
For Doc M’s Baked Sesame Ginger Salmon, he added ginger, known to be an anti-aging ingredient, and sesame, rich in Vitamin E that helps in skin cells protection. He also used Coco Aminos as a soy sauce alternative, which is proven to boost the immune system and is also a good source of fats.
“Whatever we eat, our diet, it affects our overall health,” says the seasoned dermatologist at Skin + Nutrition. “I make sure to choose the right ingredients that are beneficial not only to skin health but overall health,” he added.
He also shared that to be able to boost the immune system, one must start eating a healthy and balanced diet, doing exercise at least 3x a week, getting at least an 8-hour of quality sleep, avoiding and managing stress, and lastly by taking immune boosters to supplement like Vitamin C, D, and Zinc, Omega fatty acids, probiotics 15 B units, and phytonutrients.
